Right?īesides, Renegade is Westwood's/EA games first attempt.īut all the battle net images are visible. Yeah, but the same could be said about Dune. The official MP3 pack is essentially a high-quality version of the original MIDI soundtrack, and it also includes the unused "extended" version of the intro theme that was probably a leftover from the development stage when the intro was a slideshow, as in Orcs & Humans. Thus Tides of Darkness accommodates ten in-game themes in eight actual CD tracks, and Beyond the Dark Portal adds two more themes to the same number of actual tracks. The DOS version of the game (both vanilla and expansion) actually only plays through four CD Audio tracks during missions, so they had to cram two themes into one actual track on the CD to compensate for this. This track and this track however are present on the Tides of Darkness CD as well, although they have no MIDI counterparts and apparently have been added late in the game development. BtDP adds 4 more tracks 2 for orcs and 2 for humans.Actually, the expansion pack only added three tracks: one for the Alliance, another for the Horde, and a secret bonus track. The officially released soundtrack of Warcraft 2 is also missing the Beyond the Dark Portal tracks. The official MP3 pack Blizzard released some time ago (no longer available from FilePlanet, unfortunately) also uses the shorter versions of the tracks, and does not include the CD Audio-exclusive tracks that have no MIDI versions in the DOS release of the game. The tracks in Edition use the shorter MIDI versions (except they're recorded as WAV files either on authentic hardware or using soundfonts), however they play as if they were CD Audio tracks (i.e. Here's a comparison of the same track in both versions: The CD Audio versions of MIDI tracks are longer because they repeat their theme once and then fade out. The MIDI tracks were designed to loop indefinitely during a level, whereas the CD tracks played one after another. The WAV tracks in Edition are identical to the MIDI version of the soundtrack that was included with the DOS version (except for four tracks, two for each side, which were present in the CD Audio format but did not have MIDI counterparts). However, the music from Warcraft II has been performed with a live orchestra several times, such as this concert or this one. The DOS version credits make no mention of any orchestra, unlike the credits of Total Annihilation for example, which has a soundtrack that was recorded with a real orchestra. I heard they had a real orchestra playing the tune's back then.I think the CD Audio version of the soundtrack was synthesized, not recorded with a real orchestra.

All of the battles were enjoyable, with the standouts being Ash vs. And Bonnie is 1000x better than Max.Īlso, bless the animation. Clemont is certainly an upgrade from Cilan and, in my opinion, stands equal to Brock, if not higher due to him having a more defined goal which could be observed and was ultimately achieved at the end of the series. Serena is such an enjoyable character even when her goal didn't exist yet, and her pivotal shift in XY60 was one of the best moments in the anime. I certainly enjoyed Ash not being downgraded severely and still employing interesting tactics while maintaining a strong team. XY and XYZ has been the most enjoyable season for me compared to the previous seasons and even with its flaws, like how long it took Serena to find her goal or the Clemont drought after the gym battle (again, not as much of an effect on me due to the binge but I can understand how those who have been there for the 3 years feel), when it was good, it got really good, with the emotional breakdowns making the feels, and the Team Flare arc being the best villain arc in my opinion. The ending was beautiful, and while I had most of the episodes in memory closer than most viewers, the montage still made it feel like a long journey, as if I did watch it over the three years. Being a more casual viewer, the lackluster episodes didn't affect me as much due to not waiting a week for them to come out, and the standout episodes ended up standing out more (XY60, XY93, XYZ28, which is just a short list). I went back to binge the whole series, and I enjoyed it much more. I've kept up with the Mega Evolution series when they came out but I didn't get back into the main series until the beginning of the semi finals. However, when I got to the third episode, my expectations ended up being too high since for some reason, I was expecting it to be like the first two episodes, which was clearly a bad idea since Ash isn't gonna jump off Prism Tower every episode. I haven't watched Pokemon consistently since around halfway through Best Wishes but I did catch the two part XY introduction when it first came out and it was amazing. If there are better games out there removed from the Steam Store. Even Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition that is technically on Steam but has been removed from the Steam Store Page is far better than this. But having released on steam is something I am against. If you want BATTLE CHESS II: CHINESE CHESS just google it I am sure you'll find a DOS version out there that you would be able to run through DosBox. You can play any of the latest Chessmaster games with better graphics, better AI personalities and packed with far more features. But as I said in a previous post that this is well past its era now. It was my first chess game when I was an 8 year old. Of-course I don't doubt at all the greatness of this game. And just run the game using a DosBox emulator. Most people have the common sense to just download the game via a freeware Dos Games site. You lost your money for buying this game on Steam! Many men, many minds I guess. I don't suppose there's any chance they'll bring back BATTLE CHESS II: CHINESE CHESS? They shouldn't, to be honest. Battle chess collection (enchanced) I cant get Battle chess enhanced to work on the Battle chess collection cd. I sort of expected the sound quality to be better, though. You can return to finish the level later. Then head north again (after talking to the ghost of Durlag), talk to the ghost of Durlags wife, and she will teleport you to the surface. What do you think of this game? Please rate it below on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the lowest and 10 is the highest score.Originally posted by milesmordax:This is an old friend for me. I bought this mixer almost year ago and I am very happy about it. In conclusion it has some limitations but it sounds very good, is extremely versatile, and complete for such a small light and cheap equipment If you have some equipment that may be damaged by the phantom power, you cannot connect it at the same time with a phantom operated device. The phantom switch turns on and off the 48V power for all channels. It also has 48V phantom power common for all the XLR inputs. There are two (left and right) line level 6.3mm jack balanced outputs, two (left and right) unbalanced Control outputs for monitoring, headphone output as well as other connections. You can use the Bal controls to separate tracks when recording (for example, send the voice to the right channel and all the other stuff to the left channel in order to do a post processing in the DAW software). Paired with a good quality DAW software and a fast enough computer, you can achieve very good results. It works as a stereo (two channel) USB interface. The effects quality is very good but you are limited to use the same effect for every channel, however you can choose the amount of effect each channel uses. The remaining eight input channels are line level only and work as pairs (like a stereo channel with separated jacks for the right and left), where each pair shares controls for Bal, Fx and Level, so, no EQ or Comp. Each one of those four channels have dedicated Compressor, Gain, Volume, Bal (left right balance), Fx (level of effect) and 3 band EQ. It has four mic/line level mono input channels with both balanced XLR and 6.3mm jack connections. This unit is very small and light and it sounds very good for the price you pay. I mean literally so that you can hardly hold it.Īltogether I am / we are very happy with it. Only thing about the quality is the mains adapter - it gets hella hot. It's been through about 10 gigs and a couple karaoke parties, even one on the beach (yes, with sand) and everything still works like new. we unpack it and plug in everything for practice and unplug it all and put it away after practice. We also don't leave it lying around, i.e. We've been practicing with it every week for around a year. I have a Eurorack from around 2003 - man was that crappy. The workmanship seems pretty good as well. The device also seems to keep feedback under control for the most part. Still pretty clean, no overbearing distortion. I would have to try out the mixer on another PA to see who's the culprit of that. The sound is quite good though not very transparent. But we only need it as a live mixer so no big loss there. This however does have latency which I can't seem to alleviate. I would think that Behringer would use the same technology as the U-Control which has virtually no latency. The internal FX is also a plus if you need a subtle atmosphere to the mix. The compressor has deemed itself very helpful for us, as we have 3 loud singers and one weak singer who does not pay attention to her proximity to the mic. Only the turn-n-push knob for the internal FX is not ideal. The operation is great despite the small size. We use it for 4 singer mics, 1 keyboard, 1 acoustic guitar. I bought this one for a pastime cover band project. Level 2 – Tactical Dispatcher Advantage: Tactical Airlift cooldown reduced by 75%.
